In this episode, Anush Gharibyan O’Connor invited her special guest Musho Khalatyan from Old Bridge Winery
Old Bridge Winery is a family estate founded back in 1998. That’s when the first vineyards were planted. The winery works with only indigenous Armenian grape varieties and uses estate grapes. The grape used are Voskehat for the white wine and Areni for the red and rosé wines. The total area of the vineyards is 5 hectares and the company keeps on adding new vineyards every year to be able to keep using its own grapes with the increase in sales volumes.
The wines of Old Bridge Winery are sold in the restaurant next to the winery, specialty wine shops, and wine restaurants in Armenia.
Approximately 70% of the annual production is exported to several countries including the USA, France, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Sweden, Russia, and more.
