Zack Armen co-founded Storica with his father Garo and friend Kevork in 2018, after meeting winemaker Vahe Keushguerian on one of his many visits to Armenia. His family is active in the Armenian community and in philanthropic efforts - his father, Dr. Garo Armen, started the Children of Armenia Fund (COAF) in 2003 with the mission of revitalizing the rural regions of Armenia through education, healthcare, and socioeconomic development.
Zack grew up in Long Island, NY and attended Johns Hopkins University, where he played on the varsity basketball team. After JHU, Zack worked at Goldman Sachs for six years in a newly-formed private banking business unit, then earned his MBA from MIT Sloan in Cambridge, MA. Zack stayed in the Boston area after Sloan and worked for Flagship Ventures (now Flagship Pioneering), a life sciences venture fund and company creation engine.
Today, Zack works as Director of Corporate Development for Valo Health, a life sciences company in Boston. Alongside his day job at Valo and "moonlighting" role as President of Storica, Zack is also an advisor to several early-stage technology companies, helping those companies build their long range strategic financial plan, raise capital, and strengthen their operations.
