Part (1)
Mariya Palanjian's interview with Jesse Richardson
Co Founder R&B Pantry Services
Jesse Richardson is a serial tech entrepreneur who has successfully raised over $1M in venture capital for various start-ups since 2011. His background is in subscription commerce, where he has launched multiple successful subscription model businesses, including projects with partners like Cindy Crawford, Amber Rose, Reese Witherspoon, and many more. In 2020, he began working with Portland Open Bible Pantry and eventually co-founded R&B Pantry Services with long-time friend and bandmate Aaron Brown. The company offers low-cost white-glove solutions for food pantries that streamlines online ordering, on-demand delivery, and data collection. Richardson also currently serves as co-founder and CEO of The Brothers Apothecary, a boutique wellness and superfood company with retail presence in over 600 stores worldwide.
Aaron Brown is a program director who oversees many different projects at the Portland Open Bible Food Pantry.
In 2020, when social distancing became imperative for people around the world, Aaron and Jesse Richardson saw it as an opportunity to be creative and convert a walk-up pantry into a drive-through pantry. Through doing this, they were able to double the number of pantry patrons while also keeping people socially distanced. During their first year of drive through, they fed over 18,000 people via drive up and that number only continues to grow. Aaron is also father to a ten month old baby named Ezra, who he spends most of his free time with.
