Mariya Palanjian's interview with: Kiana Naimi
Kiana Naimi, is an Iranian-American licensed clinical social worker who specializes in Grief/loss and trauma. Kiana has earned her Master's in Social Welfare from the (UCLA), at the Luskin School of Public Affairs.
During her master’s program, Kiana gained experience working across the lifespan of human development in various settings. Throughout her clinical practice, she has supported the whole health of teenagers using a biopsychosocial model within the LAUSD school district, and has also worked with Veterans and their families at the Greater Los Angeles VA medical systems. Additionally, Kiana has served as a Mental Health Clinical Specialist at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, Division of Population Behavioral Health while also conducting research with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) on childhood bereavement.
