U.S. Diplomat Demands Humanitarian Aid 'Flow In' To Nagorno-Karabakh

A senior U.S. diplomat has told RFE/RL that humanitarian aid must be allowed to enter Nagorno-Karabakh, where Azerbaijan has been blockading supplies to areas populated by ethnic Armenians. Speaking in Prague on September 15, Michael Carpenter, the U.S. ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), called the situation in the region “very stressful.”
