Residents of the village of Sotk and the town of Vardenis in Armenia said they had been evacuated after their settlements were hit during the deadliest clashes between Armenia and Azerbaijan since the end of a 2020 war over the breakaway Azerbaijani region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
